There is a taxi stand at the airport, expect to pay in Cash.  A more affordable option is off-property.

Walk across the parking lot and outside the airport gates. On your right, you’ll see a little palapa that will, incidentally, serve you a cold beer while you wait. Grab a cab from there directly to Troncones (more or less US $50).  

We’ve found having a car in Troncones to be very pleasant for longer stays, but an optional experience for shorter.  For certain surf spots you will need an SUV.

We trust Jonny Ca$h Car Rentals.  Jonny has nice cars and was super easy and pleasant to work with.  The prices are a little higher than the big brand name car rental spots, but the reviews online for Avis/Hertz were pretty bad.  

You can communicate with Jonny cash on WhatsApp only ‪+52 755 120 2137‬.  All that is needed to secure the car is a photo of your US drivers license. He’ll have a taxi meet you at the airport to bring you to his lot.

Local rate is 100 pesos, 150 pesos to Majahua (next town) Saladita 600 pesos.

The general wait time is 5-10 minutes.  Cash is recommended for the fare. 

Troncones streets are flat and easily walkable. Most people drive slowly and it feels very safe. Keep the heat in mind if for longer walks into town.

Strolling on the beach to your destination is highly recommended!

Check with your host first, they may be able to have the bikes ready for you upon arrival.
